Welcome to SNMA Region II

Welcome to SNMA Region II!!   Region II of the SNMA encompasses the 10 states of Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. With SNMA chapters at 28 medical schools within the region and 17 undergraduate chapters, we are one of the largest and fastest growing regions. 

“Our Region, Our Legacy.” A new school year is upon us and a new year of excitement begins. As one of the most influential SNMA regions, Region II is known nationwide for our programming and our leadership. This year, it is up to all of us to continue in that tradition.

“Our Region, Our Legacy.” Region II members are Leaders! As a region, we have 13 members on the SNMA National Board of Directors including the National Chairperson and the National President.

“Our Region, Our Legacy.” Did I mention Programming? Kicking off the year in the “Gateway City” of St. Louis, MO, the Washington University SNMA chapter hosts our Regional Leadership Institute (RLI) on Saturday, August 29, 2009. Then, on Halloween weekend, Friday, October 30 – November 1, 2009, the University of MO- Columbia SNMA chapter (Mizzou) hosts the 2009 Region II Conference. 

And we’re not done yet! Did I forget to mention that on top of all our leadership and programming, the 46th Annual Medical Education Conference will be held right here in the middle of Region II from March 31st - April 4th 2010 in Chicago, Illinois!!! 
It is truly an exciting time to be a part of the “Legendary” Region II.

“Our Region, Our Legacy” means taking ownership of your organization, your region, your chapter, your school, your community, and your future profession. We must advocate for ourselves and for our communities starting today. Become involved; whether locally, regionally, or nationally; make a contribution to our collective future now. We look forward to working for you and with you throughout what promises to be an exciting year!
