Greetings to you from REGION VI, THE DYNASTY!!! Region VI, Inc. encompasses SNMA and MAPS chapters in Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC. Please take a moment to become familiar with our region and the reputation of leadership and service that our membership proudly maintains.

As evidence to that reputation, this year we tout the highest number of members on our National Board of Directors. We are the proud home to our National President, National President Elect, National Vice President, National Treasurer, and National Secretary. We are also home to one of SNMA’s founding chapters, Howard University School of Medicine.

Perhaps most importantly we are home to 10 dynamic and diverse chapters whose commitment to service, academic excellence and premedical students is unparalleled. Join us in our commitment.

Septmber 8-9th, 2007 - Region VI Leadership Institute (RLI)

Hosted by Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. This year marks our 2nd annual leadership institute. The RLI focuses on leadership training and the development of chapter infrastructure.


September 28-30th, 2007 - BOD Meeting and National Leadership Institute

Hosted by Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Region VI, Inc.


December 1-2nd, 2007 - SNMA Region VI Conference: A.I.D.S.

Hosted by Howard University College of Medicine. This conference will focus on disparities in HIV/AIDS as well as other health disparities in minority communities.
