The 2008 Region IV Medical Education Conference theme is Medicine in the Real World. Our goal is to provide our SNMA members with information that is not learned in the classroom. We want to educate and inform members on rising healthcare topics that will become a part of our professional lives as physicians. There are medical student workshops with topics ranging from healthcare economics to the effects of child and domestic violence. Our premedical workshops are aimed to provide premedical students with the tools to become competitive applicants to medical school. In addition to the workshops, this conference will have an afternoon of interactive educational workshops such as a suture clinic and townhall discussions on topics such as spirituality in medicine and healthcare politics. This year’s luncheon will educate us and our banquet keynote speaker will inspire us. Your registration fee will give you access to all these workshops along with a catered luncheon and banquet.
