February 19, 2008: Region IV Elections

Greetings Region IV,

I hope all is well with you. Recently our Regional Secretary, Jasmine Smith sent a message to you regarding our upcoming Regional Officer Elections. Let me encourage you and your members to seriously consider serving your Student National Medical Association beyond a chapter level. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the governance of SNMA, become more involved in the creation and execution of the goals and ideals therein--as well as form lasting network connections. Candidates will be elected during the 2008 Annual Medical Education Conference in New York. 

Listed below are the candidate requirements, available positions, and correspondence information.

All candidates must be DUES PAYING MEMBERS and are required to submit:
1. A current Curriculum Vitae
2. A Letter of Intent
3. A Letter of good academic standing from the Dean

OFFICER POSITIONS AVAILABLE (all positions are a 1-year appointment unless otherwise stated):
1. Regional Director (2-year appointment)
2. Associate RD to the South (serve 1-year remainder of 2-year term)
3. Regional Secretary
4. Regional Treasurer
5. Regional Parliamentarian
6. Regional Community Service Liaison
7. Regional Political Advocacy Liaison
8. Regional Premedical Liaison to the North
9. Regional Premedical Liaison to the South
10. MAPS Undergraduate Liaison to the Regional Executive Board
