Women in Medicine (WIM) will present four $5,000 academic scholarships for LGBTQ female medical students enrolled in allopathic and osteopathic medical schools in the U.S. or Canada. Applications are due by Feb. 1. Scholarships will be presented at the WIM annual meeting in Portland, OR, May 27-31 and students must be present to receive award. The HIVMA's Minority Clinical Fellowship program will award 2 one-year fellowships to manage ongoing care of patients with HIV, to be supervised by an HIVMA mentor. The Diversity Council of JHU Department of Medicine has Visiting Clerkships available for medical students from underrepresented groups to expose students to careers at an academic medical center. The clerkship includes a faculty mentor, exposure to research programs, service learning opportunities through community outreach programs and assistance in preparing for resident interviews.
